We are located about 50min drive west of Faro. Follow the motorway from Faro to Portimao turning off at exit 3 marked AUTODROMO (full details on request on how to get here). Set in 22 acres Casa O Palmeiral is beautifully peaceful and secluded, located in the small village of Montes de Cima, yet only 20 minutes by car from towns, stunning beaches (of which there are many) restaurants (5 minutes) and many bars on the beautiful marinas and at Alvor and Lagos.

There is rich and beautiful history within Lagos’ 14th century walls, from its fortress to picturesque churches like Medieval São João Hermitage and the 17th-century São Sebastião. Alvor

A beautiful fishing village

The fishing village of Alvor is situated on the estuary of the river, Rio Alvor. It is well known in Algarve history because King João II died there in 1495.
Although the earthquake wiped out most of the traditional Moorish village in 1755, you can still see remains of Alvor’s history in places such as the 16th century Igreja Matriz with its beautiful Manueline arches and pillars.
